Which SIM does the UltraCOM take?

A nano SIM (4FF), voice-capable, active before install. The UltraCOM range runs from a single dwelling up to 200-apartment panels, and every size works the same underneath: one SIM in the panel, calls out to occupants' phones.

Which network?

Any UK network with 4G at the entrance. On the multi-apartment versions the stakes are higher — one panel with poor signal is a whole block that can't buzz visitors in — so treat network choice seriously. A multi-network SIM registers on the strongest carrier at the site and holds service as coverage shifts, which is what you want on shared infrastructure that has to just work.

Spend caps matter more here too: a 200-apartment panel generates real call volume.

Fitting the SIM

For the installing engineer, power down:

1. Open the panel; the SIM holder is on the main board.
2. Seat the nano SIM and secure the holder.
3. Antenna connected before power, mounted for height and clear air.

First power-up

Let it register, then program occupant numbers per the manual. On multi-apartment panels, test a sample of flats across the range — first, middle, last — not just flat 1.

If it won't connect

• No registration: SIM active, PIN off, 4G present at the entrance.
• Some flats fail: programming format on those entries, not the network.
• Drops under load: marginal signal — antenna work before SIM swaps.
