Which SIM does the Akuvox R28A take?

A nano SIM (4FF) with data — the R28A is a villa video doorphone whose 4G calling runs as data through Akuvox's platform, not as ordinary phone calls. A voice-only SIM leaves the video features dead.

Which network and allowance?

Strongest 4G data at the door position. A multi-network data SIM removes the carrier guesswork and keeps the doorphone connected as local coverage shifts.

Allowance: video calls per visitor press plus cloud keep-alive. Modest for a quiet house, more for a busy one — measure month one.

Fitting the SIM

For the installing engineer, power down:

1. Fit the nano SIM in the unit's slot.
2. Power up, set the APN for your SIM provider.
3. Register on the Akuvox platform, pair the household phones via the app, update firmware.

First test
