    LTE Verso SIM installation guide

    The 2N LTE Verso was the first intercom to run entirely over 4G, and it remains the reference point for the category. It's a modular IP video intercom — camera, buttons, keypad, card reader modules as the site demands — that behaves like a networked 2N Verso without the network cable: the LTE connection carries its calls to the 2N My2N cloud and out to phones and answering units.

    Which SIM does the 2N LTE Verso take?

    A micro SIM (3FF) — and it must be a data SIM. The LTE Verso is an IP video intercom that happens to carry its own connection; everything it does (video calls, My2N cloud, remote config) travels over 4G data. A voice-only SIM gives you a very handsome brick.

    Which network and what allowance?

    Network: strongest 4G data at the gate. Run a speed test at the panel position — video calling wants real bandwidth both ways. A multi-network data SIM keeps the intercom on the best available carrier and rides out local network changes without a site visit.

    Allowance: video calls and cloud connectivity consume data continuously. Size the plan generously for the first month, review actual usage, then right-size.

    Fitting the SIM

    For the installing engineer, power down:

    1. Fit the micro SIM in the holder on the main module.
    2. Antenna connected before power.
    3. On first boot, set the APN to match your SIM provider — the intercom won't reach the network or My2N until this is right.

    First power-up

    Let it register and establish data. Claim the unit in My2N, bring the firmware current, add the first users, and run a full video call test to a phone — picture, audio both ways, and door release.

    If it won't connect

    • No data connection: APN first. Nine faults out of ten after a SIM swap live here.
    • Registered but My2N unreachable: data allowance exhausted or APN half-right. Check both.
    • Choppy video: bandwidth at the gate. Speed test, antenna position, then network choice.

    Does it need a voice plan? No — it's all data. Calls travel as SIP/video over the 4G connection.

    How much data? Usage-dependent: call volume, video length, cloud services. Measure month one and adjust.
